Private property versus right-of-way

A container fully on your driveway or lot generally needs no municipal permit. The moment it touches a street, swale, alley or sidewalk, most Palm Beach County municipalities require a right-of-way permit with a defined duration.

What associations typically require

Communities commonly limit how many days a container may stay, require placement on paved surfaces only, restrict delivery hours, and ask for the hauler's certificate of insurance. Requesting approval a week ahead avoids a fine or a forced early pickup.

Protect the surface

Pavers, stamped concrete and older thin-slab driveways can crack under concentrated rail loads. Plywood or dedicated boards under each rail spread the weight, and we bring them on request at no charge.

Practical placement rules

Keep containers clear of irrigation heads, septic fields, meters, gates and low limbs. Leave the swing door end accessible. And confirm the truck has a straight approach — a container cannot be set around a sharp corner.
