A roll-off quote is built from delivery and pickup labor, the rental period, an included tonnage allowance, and the disposal cost at the receiving facility. Debris type sits behind all four: clean concrete goes to a recycler at one rate while mixed construction debris goes to a C&D facility at another.
Almost every unexpected charge traces to one of four things: exceeding the tonnage allowance, keeping the container past the rental period, mixing prohibited items into an otherwise clean load, or overfilling above the top rail so the load cannot be legally tarped. All four are avoidable if you know the limits up front.
Ask what tonnage is included and what the per-ton overage rate is. Ask how many days the base rate covers and the daily extension cost. Ask whether there are fuel, environmental or administrative fees added later. Ask what happens if the container cannot be placed on arrival. Vague answers to these questions predict vague invoices.
Break down boxes and furniture before loading so you use the full cube. Keep concrete and dirt in separate clean loads to earn recycling rates. Book one correctly sized container instead of two undersized ones. And schedule pickup as soon as you are done rather than letting rental days accumulate.
